15th AOAFF powered by DEI: Pilgrimage for "Mamma Roma" at Eleftherias Park
Last night, Pier Paolo Pasolini’s "Mamma Roma" walked through Eleftherias (Freedom) Park, together with the 15th Athens Open Air Film Festival powered by DEI and the Museum of Cycladic Art. 🎬
Countless spectators watched reverently, spread out from one end to the other, some sitting and others lying on the grass, marking an unprecedented turnout in the lush green space of the Park, as you can also see in Yiannis Stefanidis’ photos.
It was yet another ecstatic screening for the capital’s audience, which participated en masse and with great enthusiasm this year in the events of its beloved summer Film Festival (affectionately called the summer sibling of the Athens International Film Festival), setting a record attendance that so far amounts to more than 17,000 spectators.
To be continued in August... 🧡
